Poor old SLAVE.. the little guy's copin a beatin. For all that some may find distastful about him, his irksome drivel often contains reasoned argument and a valid point of view in amongst the other err..stuff.

JB I think you represent the good side of the industry however your comments on forums don't reflect my feelings. I like to hear about the manufacturers/retailers problems and how they are being delt with by them. It has a strong influence on my buying decision.
As for processes and procedures generally they are invarably designed around what's easiest for the maunfacturer not the customer. I'd hope this is not the case with yours. Respectfully RM.

Waveslave; genius or psychopath? Keen and probing intellect or paranoid conspiracy theorist? Sympathy to those who've been burnt by his caustic wit but I always read his posts.

RM,

Thanks for the props! On the point about hearing about my comments on the forum, I actually posted the official stand by North Kiteboarding on Seabreeze some time ago, and I believe it was also on kiteforum, and probably every other forum out there. We have tried to make it known that anyone who may be experiencing issue with their "T" Nozzels should contact their local dealer and present them with the information they require, and replacement bladders will then be send out immediately.

Our systems and processes are put in place to keep a track of goods and issues, and also to try and provide an accurate record for future reference and developemental progress. But most importantly, they are in place to serve the consumer as quickly and accurately as possible, and to minimize hassle and cost to all involved. I feel our systems and processes are quite efficient when followed correctly, but like anything human error can slow things down.

My main point is that posting on forums is not the best way get things resolved. If you have an issue, going to a authorized dealer will be far more effective. You may find other people who agree, disagree or indifferent about your situation on the forums, but this is of little help, it's your dealer that will have the answer.

Forums are great for discussion and opinions, including discussion on issues if need be, but to get action see your dealer.

all the best,

JB

Cheers jquigley.

They gave me spare cam-battens once when I bought a new kite.
That's because they knew the battens would eventually break.
North gave me spare micro-loops once when I bought a new kite.
That's because they knew the micro-loop would eventually snap.
(A micro-loop was a silly little hard loop made of stiff wire that fixed onto the bar).

Maybe they should give you spare bladders when you buy a new kite.
I mean, how much would that cost the kite company ?
$1 per bladder probably.
Hell, they're only just oversized condoms with a beachball nozzle stuck on them.
