Does anybody know what the average, ball park, PSI is for a kite?

I dont have a pressure gauge on my pump, so i just follow simple females advice that:

"The harder it is, the better it is".

Seriously though, with an Average sized diameter leading edge id say 6-7psi; with a small diameter LE (Nemi HP etc) up to 9-10psi...

Another alternative is to pump the kite up until it makes a nice "ping" sound instead of a "doof" sound when ya flick the L.E.

I'd go with 7PSI as an average

I used to have a pump with a guage on my 05 kites, I used to go with the "the harder the better" rule of thumb until I had 2 leading edges tore themselves a new one (inflation hole that is

). I then went to 5 PSI in the LE and 6-7 in the struts. These days that pump is dead and I now stick to the flick test and have never had this issue again.

I don't know whats the correct pressure but here is what I use:
9m kite: 9-9.5 PSI
12m kite: 8-8.5 PSI
Both one pump system

i pump my 8 to 15psi my 10 to 12psi and my 12 to 14psi.

i have a special heavy duty pump so i can pump my kite like mega hard

Don't believe your pressure gauge. After a couple of months of bouncing around in the back of your car the best it might tell you is if you have any air in your kite - and you can probably figure that out for yourself.

my needle guage flicks from 2PSI to 10PSI when it is about ready. i think it varies on the temperature.

that isn't very helpful, unless you are "up north" (as in the top end - NOT just pimping the brand) and borrow my pump then it is vital!

some kites need more than others. i pump my revs 13m , 9m to about 10psi.i have found that they like it hard.particularly the 9m found if you don`t put enough in they are more prone to catching a wing tip in the bridle.

Mine absolutely loves it hard through the inflate valve, and sometimes through the deflate valve just to mix things up

you pump it till it stops flopping around like a limp dick.. get a one pump then you wont have to worry about different pressure in different struts and crap... if ur kite actually needs different pressure in struts vs LE then its crap anyway
