ok iv got a idea i go to most of the comps you have a problem with me kbm or any one who rides wake style come say it to my face because most people on here are hiding behind alias scared that they will get paid out on for saying there opions. I prefer wakestyle im in to make simple tricks look good. I might not be good at that but thats what i like. IM not into doing a thousand rotations in a single boost.and ithink the best rides in Australia at the moment ride boots (with exception to dan anderson and julian kid) But that is my opion

and whats all this sh!t about people can only do grabs and 3s with boots? you obviously haven't watched anyone good out freeriding.

tell me that isnt sick? cam mid 7 bit more consequence than a mobe 1650 with your kite out to lunch id say.

straps have been cancelled.

This is actually one of my photos, dunno who Kiter Grom is or how he got the pic but anyway haha. There isn't a sequence to it cause cam threw it so high and I wasn't ready for it, was one of the best tricks I've seen, he's just gotta get em down pat now and he'll be ripping.

Oh and R.I.P congo, pauly is gonna kill ya haha.

actually braids, I prefer surf. But if I am doing freestyle then I prefer wakestyle to the old school stuff. The difference between me and you braids is that I dont bag people if theyre doing "lame" boardoffs or old school stuff...couldnt give a FF nor do I care 'who comes off on top'. Boots, straps...pfffft.
Teh reason for pointing out that Bill was doing a one-footer is that kiting is more about whats 'in'. In the early days people rode directionals on waves then TT and now back to directionals (in the surf). Bindings to straps and now back at bindings. People went for air then wakestyle then boardoff and pullups and now back to wakestyle. Kitegrom was talking it up but as soon as the cycle goes around again, he'll be on another bandwagon claiming some other ****.
Sure doing a huge 7 off a wave or kicker like cam did shows commitment and a ****load of talent and he definitely deserves his nationals title but I personally dont think claiming a trick that guys were doing 3 years ago progression.

And wtf is talk about being more powered?? You little kiddies complained about too much wind up at the gero nationals! Whereas Adam didnt say a word and took out the title...in straps.

When i was kiting yesterday, i wish i had boots now im contradicting myself. I just felt like on the landings i was gonna come out the back and do my knee again or something. Maybe there is some merit once you got your kite down at a certain level just yesterday i was noticing how sketchy it felt sometimes. As soon as my wound on my foot heals i will put my ebay bindings on my board. Still dont beleive that they make you look any better though. Who had a go at you Happy or KBM for that matter

yay finally someone who rides hard enough to realise thats straps are no good for powered riding!!! real life testimonial here guys listen up!!!

hey kiterdan there wont be another bandwagon!!!!!! people started in bindingsand they had it right then they thought taking there board off and spinning as many times as possible would be smart (they werent powered with kite low so they didn't need bindings then) they soon realised what they had done and how gay they had made the sport look, it took awhile but now they are back to what has been tried and tested in 2 sports beforehand (kiting and wakeboarding) listen up it aint going to change now bindings and powered wakestyle and sliders are here to stay.

I think i speak for majority when i say 'slave and poor relo- stfu. The topic was all on track until you take a tangent and friggen screw it up.

Anyway would it be fair to say that bindings really just help more with blind landings? i can't see how they would help that much for inverted passes in the air.

Touche Waveslave, it really is necessary to turn down the gain-control on the radargaydar when reading some threads... otherwise the screen is just full of noise, "on track" and "tangent" free, but all noise.

Which is a shame, some of them might make sense otherwise.

boots, straps, twin tip, mutant, surfboard, strapless, barn door, c, bow, foil, - who cares as long as you're having fun and are safe!
and look at the top guys on the pkra theyve got it so dialed they no longer have to wear straps which i know they use to practise new moves. remember in the pkra comps you score more for lower kite and more power!!!!

Yep... by the same winging whining twerps that can't carry on a decent conversation without turning it into a urinating match about who can be more macho in the latest version of pink chaps! "Arseless... no not arseless... no it has to be hipsters... no it should be straight cut... straight cut, man that's so gay, I'm not going to kite with you any more... yeah well, you're so gay that you wanted me last night... yeah well, you're so gay that you had me last night... Oh... we're both so gay... I love you man... I love you too... smooch" Sound bloody familiar?!?

Get out and have some fun and forget your ego ya' twerp!

Kitefriend, you saying straps are no good for powered riding even though, like kiterdan said, Rat took out the gero nats when all you boys were winging about it being too windy. You saying Rat wasn't powered?
No bandwagon? So after 7 or 8 years the sport has progressed as far as its going to, everyone going to ride like you because you are the coolest, and every other style of riding is gay because you say it is.
When you can ride as hard and powered as most of the pkra guys, and rat, then you can say straps are gay, but no-one will listen to you because you're a twat.

whatever man think what you want im not stopping you, nothing is gonna change wakestyle, kickers, sliders are all here to stay. twiddiling your board like a fader is gone and never coming back.
and WTF are you on about of cause it will keep progressing i never said it has reached as far as it will go, look at wakeboarding they do new moves all the time and its older than kiting.
u seem to have a thing for pkra guys and rat wats that all about? what r u on about anyway if you didnt notice the rat rides boots, and he rides way better now than what he did with straps.

hope that was twaty enough for you.

p.s. i got some pogo shoes if you want to do something that looks gay.

Hi, i think if you are trying the harder moves like 720 backmobes and double s-bends like the professionals, straps with a narrower stance must make it easier for you to spin and nail those landings, plus the extra weight of bindings would slow you down.
thats my thoughts anyway.
