hey guys the trailer for my first dvd has just been put online. filmed by Shannon Stent and edit by Chase Burns. dvd out in couple of months. and yeah yeah save the jokes , broken water -giving birth and all that. hope you like....
cheers glad you guys like. as for song- not sure Chase chose it , i had a few songs in mind but we felt this song suited better but not sure as to artist etc as he is on holidays in indo and communication is difficult, also think he posted standard def as his internet connection is slow and would of taken hours to upload in HD. as for riders- it's mainly about my travels and missions over the past 12 months alot of these where done with JAKE GORDON , and also abit of Ben Wilson, Dale Stanton, Mike Bergman, Keahi and a few more too. All Waveriding dvd , and at this stage should be out mid -late July Shot in INDO, WEST OZ, SOUTH COAST, THE DESERT,NZ,EAST COAST and a few other locations.
Great to see a west ozzy stepping up to replace the retiring Ben Wilson on the silver screen and in the slingshot hierachy. Big shoes to fill but looking like the goods.
For sure there will be a premiere night in Perth. Probally the FTI cinema in freo again next to sos surf shop. or Billy westons pool hall in scarborough is good- i thought it was a bit rough from the outside which it is but was actually a good venue. i went to a premiere there for a surf vid about 1 month ago and it was really good . seats like 3 times the ammount of FTI and has a bar with pretty well priced drinks.
thinking of doing east coast one too if there is the interest and i can at least cover my costs to put one on. Maybe Melbourne as Chase lives there and can organise most of it. will keep u posted. if anyone knows any good venues on the east coast that have a big kiting community close by let us know and we may be able to run a couple on the east coast. maybe 1 in nsw and one in qld and 1 in melbourne- needs to have a big screen(projector preferably), not a pub with tv's. oh and probally going to do one in Bali late July/early aug too. hopefully Jankie will want to do one with us at his restaraunt.
Move over Ben Wilson....Oh yeah he already did. Just jokes, you slingshot guy's get great support from your videographers and editers, The riding is awesome but the way it's put together tops it off.
The song for the Trailer is "Asleep on the wing"- by John Herndon/Marc Hellner/Joshua Eustic/Charles Cooper/Fred Longbergholm. i just used the Shazamm app on my iphone and thats what came up. if you have an iphone make sure you download Shazaam as an free app. all you do is press the button to tag when a song is playing and it tells you what the song is, really handy.
dvd pretty much finished, edit is done just running through final adjustments for artwork etc then off to get duplicated. premiere dates released soon. Perth will be the main one and should be late july at this stage(probally 22or 23rd july). stay posted to seabreeze for dates. also planning to have one in bali on sunday august 1st but will confirm this closer to date. cheers Ryland
