Kitestock, well that was very, very interesting. Have just got back from the mighty Scott creek river mouth where it meets the more mightier Murray.

I'm looking back at the amazingness of Kitestock and the effort assumed by WAKSA and the support that they can rally by their pure hearted volunteer instinct to give.

I applaude the efforts of all conerned. Deano, mate.....you are one guy who knows how to bite off more than he can chew, then begin to chew like mad.....You will kick some goals in Germany!!. (I won't be too far behind you mate, just a few things to take care of over here)

But first, what's next?. what does the event lovers think is the next step with Kitestock?. It's really your event. So enlighten me on how I can improve?. Mike Bergman taught me a lesson I needed to learn....I know there's more.

But try to keep it less personal and definately constructive, I haven't needed therapy for at least a week or two, I'd like to limit "issues" and focus on what people would like me to do next?.

I think kiting has the ability to get political, we are very attractive little butterflies after all!!. I checked out Heikes shots from where the lessons were being taught, and I can only say that "WOW!" That's cool!!.

So let's hear some feedback, I have many people to thank and would like their input to improve my ability to run competitions and events.

Your'e right, it is a bit of scoot to get to Pt Gregory. Kitestock is perfectly suited to that location though for the people who are just into having a bit off fun in a safe environment. It's very user friendly.

A couple of things....Dongera is looking for an event coordinator for their annual festival (hence the suggestion)

And....Events Corp. have called for expressions of interest to regional WA for event funding that will raise the profile and increase the visitor numbers to regional towns. so though needs to go events for next summer now.

So there's good possibility for a big event, a small event, a couple of events; Whatever. However people down in Perth are going to need to drive north no matter what.

So I know it's the end of the season and all (Dunno! I was out on my 9m from 1:30pm onwards yesterday!) but some thought needs to go towards next year.

Any thoughts from anyone else?. Anyone else intersted in Dongera for example?.

dongara is definately the place to go, i grew up surfing there and reckon its one of the best spots north of perth. as bevo said south beach is the place to have kitestock, theres a caravan park right there, the beach is really wide and hard for 2wd's and nice flat water in between 3 sand banks that provide nice little waves to shred, great for all levels of kiting. you could set up tents and demos and lessons really easily anywhere on the beach, have downwinders from far south as you want, and for those serious wave riders there are some nice reef breaks around within town. pubs,bakey's,shops,etc....

i think dongara has huge potential and would love to see it happen there next season,

Just seeing what people want up north here Ian,
WAKSA may be getting behind a Rotto event, I'm unsure what the plan is from WAKSA at this stage.

Government is calling for individuals/groups./commttees/associations in regional areas to submit grant propsals for events that lift the profile of the towns/regions. So some thinking will need to be done pretty soon for next summer.

Any more thoughts?.
