Help

I blew out the second strut in from the right on my 9m bandit dos today and am chasing a replacement. Does any one know who stocks them or can get them in? Anybody got a spare laying around they want to get rid of?

You're most likely better off fixing it buddy

Why's that Gippy? Am I searching for hens teeth?

I'm waiting on a centre strut bladder for a 12. Contact Mat at M8 kites in Noosa, the F-One rep, try the Facebook page. Not cheap and may take a couple of weeks. A while back I used the centre strut off an old 10 to replace the quarter bladder on my 12. Needing folding a couple of extra times at the end, but worked well. I could send you a quarter bladder off an old 10m if you like. You'd need to fold a couple of extra times to shorten for your 9, but it would work fine.

because depending how bad the blow-out is, it is most likely fixable and will be quicker and cheaper than getting a new one. If it's just a tear or small hole, get yourself some 'Tear-aid' and patch him up. Is about $10 a length and may take you 10 minutes to fix. If it's quite sizeable, you may need it heat sealed by a kite fixer (again usually cheaper and quicker than getting a new bladder). However I've seen bladders made more of tear-aid than the actual latex material- so if you're creative you can most likely fix it yourself. yep or alternatively you can use a different bladder and just 'mod' it- not as reliable though

Thanks for the info all. I actually checked a bit closer this afternoon and found that it has also torn the fabric. Probably got a bit excited with the wind yesterday and over pumped it. Anyway, have found a repairer in Perth who is going to take care of it. Will get myself some tear aid though. Never heard of this before and sounds like the go for a small leak.
