I was swimming at Noosa river mouth yesterday with a mask on and found a broken bottle in the shallows just waiting for a victim and saw a giant ray cruising in shallow too so look out where you walk !
Well, I learnt my lesson... whenever I kite there again (it is my local spot) I'll use boots... I'd highly recommend anyone to use boots there. It is not only broken glass, there are also sting rays, cobblers, and fireweed.
