I'm 26, just moved down here from Norway, and would like to get in contact with other beginners in the area.

Have taken a 3-days course, bought the gear... and now I'm definately ready for some fun.

Can kite some weekdays and most weekends.

Give me a call: 0405977992
or send me an email: [email protected]

Hey Haakonsen, you should make your way down to Brighton Beach on Botany Bay. On Saturday we are going to be holding a demo day down there that will give you a chance to meet a whole bunch of new kiters, as well as plenty of experienced guys. Try to get down there next Saturday, 5th of March and check out the new kites and make some friends. Hopefully we´ll see you there.

Jeff.

Hey Monkeykiter, are you going to come down to Brighton next Saturday for the demo day?? Should be similar to the one held at Kurnell that day, although I´m guessing we´ll have a few more spectators this time.

Yeh I'll come down for sure. Although I had a look at the Peter Lynn day on Saturday and felt a bit intimidated.

I hope it's a bit more welcoming.

So many kites, lines, people doing stuff...I had no idea who was in charge. And everyone looked experienced.

I thought it was going to be more of a show, but it seemed more of a normal day, just everyone using a similar kite. I was looking forward to the inflatable slider?

The Gastra event was good. They had a bbq!

Anyway..I cant complain. I wasnt there for long. im sure it was a good day.

Well it should be similar to the Gaastra day, I helped with the organisation of that one and Saturday we´re aiming for the same type of day, though I´m guessing there´ll be a lot more spectators being in the heart of Brighton. And don´t be intimidated by people who look experienced. Chances are they´re probably just like me with all the gear and no idea, but always willing to chat and help out. All the local boys (and girl) are great so you should have no problems meeting people either. See you there mate.

Sounded like everyone had a great tiem at the last Jeff show.
The slider is there, we have all been too busy to use it. I actually have 2, one is temporarily missing 2 rails, but we will get them eventually.
Not sure of the acceptability of having a slider at this show that has Kitepower stickers on it though??
All it would take is a phone call and an agreement to look after it and make sure people ride it with no fins.
