Have just received my Best Golf Bag. It is solidly constructed and light.

It fits all my gear except my Airush Square 2 that is 155cm long. It came close but no worries as i expect I'll upgrade my lightwind board sometiime.

Thanks to Steve at Kitepower Australia for arranging to send it up to me. (btw at the time, i could not find it anywhere else advertised in Australia).

I think airport staff would be pretty stupid to think that only golf equipment would be in it. I don't understand the logic in calling it a golf bag

My only gripe is that I thought it came with a free Waroo, as I did not read anwhere that "kite not included".

It's a good bag... and BIG!!!

I have used it a bunch of times to go to Melbourne, Noosa and Gold Coast ... from Sydney

I even used it to take Golf Clubs, instead of Kites and Boards!!!

I had no problems with airports...
Flied mainly with Qantas

Would this bag be suitable for dragging down to the beach?

I am looking for a 'one bag carries all' type of thing in which I can chuck my boards, my kite, impact vest, harness, wettie, etc, etc

Anyone got an opinion on whether this would be a good solution?

Cheers

it might work for hard sand but for soft sand i think the wheels are too small and likely you will end up just dragging the bag.

I tried carrying everything in an old golf bag I had, but it didn't work for me... it was just too big ...

and yes... as soon as you get to the sand ... the wheels are useless

I can fit all teh kite gear I own except by 155cm Square 2.

ie - A 120cm Board, (although I am pretty sure a 140cm would fit)
A 2004 14m C kite
Helmet
Bars and Harness

with plenty of room to spare.

This was posted on Kiteforum:

just travelled the last 2 months with mine. great bag. without much effort i fit my 7m 12m 2 bars, helmet 128X37cm board, wetty, harness and 3 boardies and 3 shirts and it was about 20kg.

got asked once if there were golf clubs in there and i just nodded.

To me it seems totally bizarre that you have to put kites in to Golf Bags (or things called as such) for travelling with kites.

Why isn't there a Kite Bag for travelling...........duh. Isn't there a kite company out there with some marketing sense to call the dam thing what it is.

Its simple, women have hand bags, not usually filled with hands, we all use glad bags, and they are never filled with glads, so why not put kites in golf bags??

Its worked on more than one occasion for me at an airport.
At least the Best one is well made and not overly gaudy.

Cya and

Goodwinds
