G'day guys, just wandering if anyone has any recommendations for a really good 2012 wakestyle board to strap some bindings onto (possibly a pair of Ronix Ones ).

Without trying any out and just looking around I've had my eye on a 138cm LF DLX, any thoughts?

Cheers,

I'm riding a 142 DLX with LF Ultras and I like this setup a lot. The DLX is solidly built, really stiff, good balance of rocker/planing ability, and goes well finless. Not too **** hot in chop but that's not what it's for. The pop is pretty amazing in flat water though.

Pretty subjective but I like my Cardboards Tempo- can get it built with the spacings you need and its Aus made. Anything with decent rocker and channels IMO...

Anyone have the the low down on the Gambler? I've been looking around for the specs but can't find them. Fin size? Rocker? Flex? I'm on a 11 custom right now with One's but finding it to flexy so any comparisons between the Gambler vs Custom (or a tempo. I ride my boyfriends some times) would be SWEET.

There's been reviews on the gambler in the gear section. Has 35mm fins rocker is only a touch more than my tempo ( nothing on the cab) so goes upwind like a dream even in boots. Has the same outline as the team board but loads stronger and flex is about the same as the tempo.

yes to the dlx but no... no no no and no again to the watson.

watsons ****, its heavy its slow and it chews too much power. i rode one for a whole season last year and i can safely say you can get 100x more pop out of any wakestyle kiteboard, you'll be able to invert better and you won't need to be stupidly powered all the time either.

I'd go with something like the Best Profanity, its stiff and solid like flex wakeboard with the added benefit of being fast and very poppy. a lot of other boards i find too flexy and they end up chewing up a lot of your pop.

The Tempo, DLX and gambler are all excellent boards as well. but take my advice and DO NOT BUY A WAKEBOARD you will just slow your progression down

Definitely the DLX. I used to ride the darkside and I'm glad I'm not anymore.

^^^if ur talking about the 2010 darkside then i know what ur talking about. but i rate pretty highly the 2011 and 2012 ones. i dunno what everyone else up top is talking about 35mil fins for.. i think 15mm is overkill. also have a look at the "tona pop" should be pretty good as well

Spotted in the buy/sell section. Not mine, just passing it on for anyone who is shopping.
