hey u might know "choicey" owner of CHOICE kitesurfing http://www.choicekitesurfing.com.au/ . well anyway he sells em and reckons for the price they are worth it, but they might not have some of the high performance as the slingshots or naish or one of the other brands but definitely worth a look. theres a few other brands out there. just look around.

toby and carbine....you guys have not used many other brand latest kites with those comments....or you guys get special deals on best i reckon!

the yarga pros are nice kites but lets not get too carried away....insane performance, fastest turning etc....really!

the waroo 9m however does deserve some special recognition :-)

Hi guys,

Ive been kiteboarding for 7years, owned a shop for 6 years and flown every possible kite that has come in my path. I started on a Peter Lynn C-quad, merged to an ARC - North Rhino 2 - Naish X3 - SS Fuel 03 - SS Fuel 04 - Naish X4 - North Vegas 04 - Wipika Matrix 05 - Naish Raven 05 - Then I had access to Best. This list is what I actually owned and paid for, plus I tried dozens of kites apart from these.

Currently riding Yarga Pro's and waroo's. These kites are awesome. Ive copped a bunch of sh#T from a lot of respectable people since I have started riding and selling BEST. My mates who have started riding BEST kites cannot believe how these kites perform, the build qaulity is sufficient to cope with any punishment and the performance of the products are the same if not better than most of the major brands on the market, backed by the super price tag and the mega backup service.

get this. Best kites have a garantee program in place where if you purchase a kite from a BEST retailer, and within 30days you find that you are not happy with the product, you can return for a money back garantee. Very few brands would even keep a straight face if you suggested such thing.

All warranties are dealt with in Australia, and most the time can be processed within 12hrs of report.

Im not sayin that everyone should ride this gear and in fact we still sell a bunch of other brand kites thru the shop, but like many of my customers point out, they are sick of payun huge amounts of money for kite products when you can buy the same performing gear from one of the largest companies in the world, and still rec good service and qaulity.

Good to see some major kite retailers around Australia are now jumping on board the BEST program. Finally we have unleashed the Best.

Fire away critics.

actually max_ob to date i think me and carbs have flown most of the 06 kites to date ( well the majour brand ones)ravens, torch 2, gk sonic, crossbow, switch blade, yagra pro, nemisis pro, warroo, vegas, impacts, fuels, matrix, m-80, flow and a few more... so have a fair idea of 06 kites and we dont get special deals on any kite just tried as many as possible to try to get the best kite for what we wanted and the right price and ended up with torch 2's and impacts (would have been some yargra but didnt have the money when brownee was selling them)

toby,

don't get me wrong.....i flown best kites 04 yarga and 05 nemis and still do....i have tried a yarga pro 11 ( admittedly for a short time) and so has a mate or two........and it is a nice kite but we didn't feel that it was a revelation as some of the hyping suggests...

it performs well as do many other brand name kites....and at $1800 (1798) for a 11 yarga pro complete....the price is no longer cheap...

I fly an fone impact.

yarga pro isn't for 90% of people I would say (this 90% should go for bows), but for those that want power and speed. WOW its magic.

I would be flying a yarga pro, but i was an idiot and got an impact (still a nice kite though).

impacts are cheaper than best yarga pros if the yargas are $1800?, impacts are 1600-1650?? , if you want more depower than a bow and the impact doesnt do then the tribal has an even larger range...

hi w.a.kytgal, as Carl and Brownee have mentioned i fly Best kites, i have 7,9,11,13 standard Yargas and they are sic kites for a bit less than the Pro's. the 06 kites are a vast improvement on the 05's, as toby said the bottom end of the 13 is awesome, in previous seasons i use to have a 15 or 16 in my quiver but now dont require one as the 13 is quite sufficient. also the depower of these kites works really well, with other makes and previous models when you depowered the kite fully you would loose performance and turning ability, these kites fly with the same optimum performance and turning ability all the way through the depower range. all the other characteristics have been mentioned and these kites do match up well if not better than the top $ brands. top quality and perfomance for less $.

feel free to come and demo the kites

cheers wayne

I fly 05 YARGAs . I got a 9m and a 13m with 1 bar and lines for under $1600
this gives me at 72 kgs a genuine wind range (upwind) of 16 knts to 32 knts.
I know a lot of guys with more expensive gear who watch me from the beach because their 12m brand kite wont do it for them.
At the end of the day I love to kite and that's all that matters.

Saving money is important if it means working less because that means more time to kite. I have only recently gotten brand new equipment, (windwing)The best kiters are the ones who get the most time on the water not the ones with the best equipment.
btw windwing are great value as well.

"Best kites. Are they really the best"
No they are not, don’t bother.

The amount you see the kite for is not practical because.

It is
Over the net you have to deal with the net warranty issues

Also the support you will get by buying from your local supply is far more important then any kite at a discount price,

They are playing on that you see a fixed price that is less then competitors kites but these kites just are not of the same quality slash design.

If you really want to save some money buy a superseded model, these still have full warranty, and this is tradable at the end of the season, or later.
Also consider buying the kite you want and spend a little more, you should know a kite ant going to last.
Now if you buy a best kite, can you trade it in on a best kite? Not that I know of, so if you buy it, you’re stuck with it. or you sell it for nothing and then your back to where you started from.
This is just a few reasons. I could go on and on

is that better that’s enough I’m not going to write an more

assmaster i'm sure you are a best bitch as well. i know fo is. i certainly are. no-one will ever convince me that my wahoo is crap. There is a lot of best bashing out there just cos they did something that pissed everyone off... make kites cheap.

And yes like the blowfish the YP and the NP are full price. i have a 17m yarga and it rocks. With a fifth line onto it the top end is over 20 knots and the bottom end is under 10. this is the 2005 model.. no durability issues at all and performance is excellent. 2006 model is also at the cheap price... so now it seems the trend is for 4 models of kite. Bow kite (Wahoo aka waroo), Beginner intermediate kite (yarga), hardcore kite (yarga pro) and big air kite (nemi pro). same as naish.. shockwave, boxer, torch and raven.

PS i call the waroo the wahoo cos that's what everyone seems to yell out when they are using one!

like best have been rather busy
great for best good stuff.

p.s
kiterpilot love the style mate really good posting technic going to go out and slay some dragons now are we?
hay what’s your next trick can you make your head explode. Really though chill out bro no need to reply to what I understand of the product to be, in such a argumentative nature.
And if you say its not argumentative, you just felt it necessary to post the best retailers list 3 times because? If what say is true great.
After finding my way to the core information from what you have advised. I will review best again its probable the business plan has been reworked for best. Is this the case, If so,great.
my attitude is, hay how bad can you be your a kiter if your into kiting, your ok by me. Have a beer on me.

no fuss just work your **** out and try not to be so Hostile.
I am surprised you did not post it all in caps
