Wow, how did you learn?
Just get out there and do it. YouTube helps. I really do not recommend it as things can go wrong. Flying the kite is not rocket science and I could wakeboard so I had board skills just had to get it all working together. In result I think I lernt faster.
Kite Republic run Ride Days which is a great way of getting some confidence building time in. It's kinda scary when heading out for your first time and the Ride Days will help bridge the gap between having your hand held by an instructor to going solo.
Jukesy, the Seabreeze lynch mob is after you. I'm in Melbourne and I have founded a learner friendly group of 120 kiters. We have our own site that's a little less agro.
Send me your number by seabreeze email and I will give you some tips on schools, locations, gear etc.
