Thanks Choice Kitesurfing and Best Australia for getting me back on the water ASAP.
Found a crack in my bar end fitting on monday, got Choicey on the job and have a new fitting by friday afternoon, believe the Aus agent for Best pulled the part off a complete bar to supply the part
Cheers guys

Hey Strongbow, i can't say how much it will meant to the guys at ARSA, Jo & Mel really try to look after there customers and words like yours really keep em going. I have run business and had young children to feed as well. [Anyone that has previously read posts that i have logged (i have a new log on now) will understand that i always give Best Kites a Good Wrap] But these guys work really hard so we can enjoy this sport. It sounds like something the guys from ARSA / BEST would do. And a congratulations to Choice Kitesurfing. obviously they like to surround them selves with some good people and pass on the good service...

PS i snapped some lines yesterday... Probably due to leaving them wet ALL of the time so i probably raided the lines off the bar that was dismantled for you...

"I have run business and had young children to feed as well." what i was goping to say here is it is easy to void a warranty claim or make someone buy a new item to avoid shelling out som money and it takes guts to pull apart a good product to take parts from it. I dont see holden pulling the back bumper bar off show room stock so you can fix your car. they would wait to get the spare in. (no disrespect holden) ( Go Lowndes )

Spectra and Dyneema are the trade names for the line we use in kitesurfing, the chemical name is gel spun poly-ehtylene a long chain polymer.
Its is unaffected by water immersion at all. Tests were performed on this stuff in concentrated acid, it was left in the acid for 2 years, and after 2 years it had lost less than 3% of its strength.

Lines break because of knots in them, wear from having twists in them from doing spinning tricks, getting damaged by hitting other kite lines or hard objects, being overloaded, contamination between the fibres by tiny grains of sand and salt crystals, etc, etc.
One of the only downsides to this type of line is the low melting temp of around 300C, so the heat from friction is what damages it when you hit other things.

So don't sweat on leaving your lines wet.
