ashame about work but you don't live that far away do you the weekend prediction was looking good when I looked this morning Mark, but then it looks dead now... but are they ever right! I haven't been out since we went out that sunday arvo about 2-3 weeks ago... so I am thinking taking a friday off work sometime soon and heading down to the cableskipark at Logan so at least then I will know how to stand on the board and balance After totally embarassing myself there by falling off I bet- but we all fall off when we start at least...

ah thanks Mark... good idea! Then once the season kicks in I'll be up and going fingers crossed..

Might invest in a monthly pass because by the looks of things-- no wind lately ahh fewww... glad the guys there will help me... I envisioned myself being dragged front ways over the board half a dozen times...

Because I am a 'girl' how long do you think I could stay there for? Just the hour visit or get the day pass... Maybe the guys who think I can't hack it underestimate my strength

ohh that's it. Your holding onto the cable, whereas kiting its hooked into the harness. darn.

Tell me about it -my thighs and stomach from leaning back pulling against the kite has really hurt sometimes-its like a hard sit-up... Especially walking backwards with the kite into deeper water - really works your legs and thighs... Then I assume riding unhooked like Ryan does would be similar to the effects of cable...

Thanks Mark, I'll see how it all goes with the cable, and it may be better just buying a 1hour or daily pass compared to a monthly pass... When I can get time off work that is... Seeing all my exams are now done... and 6 weeks working holiday now I love uni holidays...

Now thats a great idea Shannon!... apart from that fact that I am learning to stand on the board, and if I hooked it into my harness I fell off, I could travel around and around still hooked in... I want to come out of it alive... good idea if I knew what I was doing though Cheers

hey GreenPat, are you having a dig at the Qld team with the "state of oranges" lol ... don't know where its being held... yeah Qld's a gr8 place to live... Never been up North, but sometime it'd be good to go up to Cairns and Tannum Sands for a little while... Good for a holiday sometime then... maybe next holidays I will do that lol... work remember also and uni... and I really enjoy where I work - surprisingly enough

I'll remember that bout Chris from Kite Rite... hope he would look after me, but when I do go up there it'd be with some of the other kiters prob. anyways or a mate or two... but I promise I won't but anything from him lol...

So far I've brought all my gear from Goodtime at the Gap here... great store... If you go there are to see Mick( Mike) the kiting guy, Sam (windy and kite guy), or/ and Ben Rowney (wakeboarder), or any of the others are great staff.... all absolutely wonderful.... they stock Slingshot, Cabrinha,Peter Lynn and more ++

Yeah Goodtime is a great shop... Yeah from what I've heard Brisbane isn't the hottest place to kite... Up North Qld is great I've heard like Tannum sands and also WA... ah so ur an old Qld boy GreenPat... good on u...

Gee -- U guys are lucky u can get out on any tide.. If u get the tide right at Wello it's great, and then just hope the winds are good also...

Yeah ... If I could just up and go to Cairns for 2 weeks I would -- but I can't because I work, and then I'd have to start saving all over again... Yeah, this time of the year it's super cold in Brisbane and I was wearing a long sleeved wetsuit top, and then a long legs and short sleves wet suit... and I was luckiy not too cold ... kept me quite warm..

Anyways.. I will travel to a nice kiting spot soon... in time in time...
