Was actually just to even up stretching/ shrinking of lines (i.e. change it by a knot or two when necessary to make back lines even). I was riding this bar on old Catapult C-kites mostly.
Bar looks pretty janky by my own standards today, but it did the job well, you still couldn't buy something like that back then.
Bar and lines are now 6 years old. No line stretching,shrinking. 400lb fronts, 200lb rears, 2010 slingshot bar, 21m lines done by Neil at hold the line kites.
