When I was out on Sunday at St Kilda I had a seagull fly into my lines and get a little tangled. Just as I was about to drop my kite and give it a hand it managed to get its self out and fly off.

Has anyone else had this happen, I thought it was quite strange!

What else have you had in your lines?

I had one fly stright into the lines of my trainer, was classic, didnt get tangled or hurt.

On a even more funny one, my brother AGESSSSSSSSSSS AGO was fishing when wer were kids, wasnt catching anything so took the line in and put the rod on the ground, a seagull decided it wanted the bait HAHAHAHA CLassic seeing a seagull connected to the line , we had to cut him free.

One of my mates got my other mate's neck stuck in his lines last year at Woodies.

Coulda been very nasty but he got away with a string burn and alot of fear.

seaweed is nasty.

having your kite lines hook up on someone else's kite while they are both flying is also bad.

Stunt kites wrapped around your lines dont to great things for your kite's flying ability either.

boat mooring bouys are interesting when you catch them trying to re-launch

Most random thing I have had happen was a branch falling and tangling in my lines once when we were kiting just downwind of a bunch of low trees.

Best one I have heard of is a dude who launched with a board hooked up n his lines, and when he brought the kite to 12 oclock the board slid down the lines and hit him in the head!

Seagulls are bad enough but if you see a pelican coming your way ditch your kite.

I've had a disposable nappy (used) on my lines, flying like a flag. Fortunately did not fall off onto my head.
