Im heading to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast on the 6th of January, but i need some advice. Where are the best places to kite here, and are the any flat water areas around? My dad said Cootharabah Lake was were they used to have sailing stuff, so is this a possible option?

Also, i have a 12m Boxer 07, 16m LF Assault 2, and soon to have a 14m Naish Helix. Which kites should i take down? (i weigh ~68kg)?

Thanks

U COULD JUST BRING THE HELIX 14M WHICH WILL COVER ALL THE RANGE OF THE 12M AND 16M EASILY .. MOST NEW KITES ARE SO EFFICENT THAT U ONLY NEED 2-3 KITES.. 16M KITES ARE HARD TO TRUCK UPWIND..

Hey Skiddz

There are plenty of spots on the Sunny Coast - good for surf kiting. The better flat water spots are the river mouths. There are 3 - Caloundra, Maroochydore and Noosa. The lakes like Cootharabah and Weyba are nice for learning because they are shallow but the wind can be sketchy for Kiting.

You probably won't need the 16. I use a 10m and 14m Switchblade 2 and I weigh 85kg.
