Yes punters, I know the topic has been debated before but this serious.
Went for a kite this arvo and have found not 1 but 3 bladders have lifted from the point where you blow them up onto the bladder itself. I tried putting adhesive patches around the blow up point and the bladder and that didn't work.
Is there a glue or some other method to stop the leaks and prolonge the life of the bladders or do I have to buy a set of new bladders.
Is this a case of built in obsolence by kite manufacturers given that the kites are 04 and a way of charging more bucks for something as cheap as bladders or a one off event.
3 bladders in one arvo, I'm thinkin' conspiracy theory..........

If you've got some old bladders with good valves??? I have fixed the same problem by replacing the whole valve and material around it.. check out this web site for some good tips http://kitesurfingschool.org/bladderrepair.htm ... I have also used glue that you can buy from airborne .. Clear contact stuff.. if you can get it between the bladder and the valve body, let it dry a bit on both surfaces then push it down and wieght it.. I used a roll of duct tape that fits neatly over the valve stem and applies pressure where needed.. With something heavy on top.. leave overnight and check it for leeks in the morn.. Hope this helps
