have a new kite that has developed a slow leak in le bladder.. What are the kite supplied clear patches like? do the hold permantly or should i give moti levi a call..
But just need kite repaired asap,as going on holiday to sunny coast.. I located the leak already, pumped up but in the pool(could see bubbles coming from the bridle stiching etc just needs to be pulled out..
If on the seam what sort of glue could be used.... As owners manual suggests glue on seam? Any help would be great cheers......
Kite supplied patches are rock solid. Easy as mate, take the bladder out. Give the spot a quick rub with the sandpaper that is included in the patch kit. Go easy, just a light rub.Put one of the patches on . Make sure you push it on well. Bobs your uncle. Little trick to get the bladder back in. Tape a ruler to the bladder end and make sure it doesn`t rotate as you feed it back in. This will stop twists. Mate it really is easy. Give it a go you`ll be right. Worst comes to worst you can take it to a shop but I know you won`t have to do that.

Alright ive fixed the leak.. laid the bladder out as it should sit to kite did the ruler trick pulled bladder one side by one side making sure the bladder went through (i hope )twist free.. connected al onepump and a bit of a pump reveals kinks in le bladder.. the air goes all th e way through ...ive got 5 kinks.. HELP...... i heard that baby powder could help????
yea, **** happens, just take it out and try again.
when im putting a bladder back in i set it up so it is folded back and forth near where it goes into the kite, this is better than pulling the whole bladder along as you feed it in cos its less likly to twist. It can also look like a kink if you have pulled too much of the bladder out the end of the tip, on the other hand not pulling enough through is a good way to blow a hole in your LE bladder
Did one the other day no probs. Take your time. Lay the bladder out as it should sit in the kite have the entire bladder to one side of the opening in the leading edge. This way you can watch it going in. Slide one side in at a time. Pay close attention to the ruler and also keep a eye on the bladder sliding in. Make sure the bladder can't rotate on the ruler. IE its taped securely. Do it on a flat surface like the gararge floor. If that's all good than you can't go wrong. Patience is the key.
