Hi guys, can any of the Pinaroo regulars let me know if there is still large numbers of blue bottles around up there? My sister in-law is visiting and wants to swim in the Ocean while I Kite and I'm' wondering if it's 'safe to go back in the water'...

yeah, I've had a few stings myself while surfing at scarbs the other week, but recent posts mentioned quite a few of the little buggers were around, particularly at Pinaroo area. Just looking after my visitor, she'll be really good at launching and landing kites and might even be handy with a pump, I don't want to put her off...!
We haven't heard of anyone getting nailed by the blue meanies in a couple of weeks now. I'd say it's OK for your sis to go swimming, just make sure its well down wind of the kiters, and polers, and jet skiers ..... um,.... better tell her to swim at Mullas.
