Greetings All,

I'm going on a couple of trips in the comming months and hopeing to get a lot of time on the water. I'm 80 kg's, just breaking the upwind barrier, ( well, breaking it one week, then slamming into piers downwind the next ) and I've been using a Stonker 134. What would be the smallest size board that I could take on the trips to play/experiment with for fun.

I'm a snowboarder and with the Stonker 134 I feel that once I get my kite skills in check, the Stonker might be a bit of a dog for toeside moves. I'd hate to get O/S, improve rapidly( positive thinking ) and regret not taking a smaller board as well.

Steve

I would have thought that 135 was about right as an all-round board at your weight. I'm 70kgs and ride a 122 but a few more cm wouldn't hurt most of the time. Unless you're getting overpowered and can't hold an edge at all I'd suggest you stick to the 135.

Hi Dops,

The board you are riding should be fine but it depends heavily upon the strength of wind you are likely to encounter and the water conditions. If it's nukin' take a smaller board, but if it's lighter take a wider one.

You won't outgrow your board in a couple of weeks, especially not a 135. A good rider can make anything look sweet and hum a tune.

Good winds,

Thanks Guy's,

I thought that might be the case. It's probably best I get my Kite skills up to scratch before anything else.

Hey Doppleganger,

Your stonker is fine.

don't worry be happy.

Anyway you need to listen those women who keep telling you all the time that size doesn't matter.

It's like pig shooting Tony, ya see em out there with there 303's and there taking shots at it and it still walks away. "But", if ya gotta 22 and know how to use it and hit the right spot, you can bring the puppy down.

Anyhow, I've got a 303 AND know how to use it
