Hey hosko, its kat (using my sisters log on name

)
i reckon that howley is rite, you can learn on a board not so big, but quite wide, which gives good buoyancy. However, though i learnt on a small board, it takes a LOT! longer to learn to cut up wind.
Also, with a smaller board, my board is TT128 and about 38cm wide(?) dont quote

you wont have to upgrade, ive had this board for my 2nd season now and it rips

thumbs up 2 it for sure!
its personal pref. in the end really, but dont buy nething your not totally happy with, in the end your the one who has to ride it...
Also with your kite choice, i cant remember how much you weigh?? but a 12m would be really good. Only becoz i learnt on a 9m, but i wish i had learnt on a 10m @ least!! Though now i own a 9m and 11m, which suits the wind conditions here fine

So if your not totally comfortably with an 11 or 12m kite stick with the 10m, but i reckon a 12m would help oneself that lil'bit faster on a board bout 138-140...
Good luck with your sailings etc, Kite-surfing=Good times

regards Kat
