Plugging a kitesurf-related book a mate of mine wrote in case anyone is interested.

6 years (and 14 days) ago, a fellow kiter found himself tangled in someone else's lines. As it goes in our sport, when things go wrong, they go wrong quickly and the consequences can be life changing. Bouncing back from a coma, 47 titanium screws and 11 titanium plates in your head along with dozens of broken bones is one hell of a challenge, but that's what Frank did.

Frank was a global top sales performer at some of the worlds largest companies before his accident. In his book www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0821GWJ6C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_J9z7Db15PK2F6 Frank shares what he learned on his personal journey to help sales professionals stay motivated and keep going in the face of daily challenges.

Might be a nice xmas pressie

Disclaimer: I have no financial interests in this. Frank is a mate, and its an interesting read for anyone in sales (even more so if you kitesurf - or have had to make your way back from a serious injury).

Thanks Hans!
The book takes the lessons learned during my recovery into the sales profession; many of us in kiting are in sales and face challenges that can be avoided or better dealt with. Using the story of my recovery as a backdrop, I explore these areas and provide suggestions that will help sales people persevere.

Cauncy, what Frank went through is similar to your experience. Kind of.

Jokes aside he was in a brutal, bloody graphic accident. Choppered out and lay in a bed not being able to walk and talk after eventually waking up a few weeks later.

Yet he still rides Duotone

He then used wanting to go Kitesurfing to motivate him to walk again.

I'd have taken up something else!
