What about a control bar kind of v shaped or sort of like a boomerang, do you think it will be sort of self straightening? So if you were holding it unhooked, onehanded in the centre while riding a wave the bar would be naturally inclined to self centre, a little bit auto pilot style...?
Agree? Disagree? Any thoughts from the bored??

Only a true boomerang would come back to you when you let it go unhooked

Current blade uni bar has a bend in. Feels ok in the hand, but not sure it adds any great advantages. Be an interesting test to be blindfolded and 'feel' what brand of bar fits best with your grip. (Keep your mind out of your pants)

Blade bar makes the kite turn a bit quicker and easier in my opinion, probably the opposite of what I want for wakestyle, others may enjoy it.
Old North bar was just another example of silly North gimmicks targeted at kooks.

No, the old North bar was designed to keep your wrists straight and therefore more comfortable when flying.
Kites back then had big bar pressures.

I would have said that it actually kept your wrists even more bent than normal... Blade bar would keep wrists straighter when turning. North bar also gives you less leverage making it harder to turn the kite, which would be silly as you have pointed out those kites didn't turn as well back then.

Conclusion: Another silly North gimmick.

It doesn't matter what shape the bar takes (curved or straight) because IMO it's all about the placement of the connection points. Have a look at Lostatsea'a picture, that bar actually curves downwards a little but the line connection points effectively create the upward V Craggers is suggesting. I think you need a slight upward 'V' in the three points between the line connections and where the centreline passes through the bar to stop the bar twisting through it's long axis under load.
