Anyone been to Boracay?
Is it worth the hassle to take own gear or should just hire and save the hassle?
Have heard of waves on other post in Southern end of island - dont think any hire centre would be keen for their gear leaving lagoon area.
Have been in contact with O.R. and will rent from them if needed as been really helpful. Just look g for some SB member input.
Anyone got any info?,

googleise ali dudfield (aussie chick) and Ken Nacor. They own and operate 'freestyle academy' which is by far the best school on the island. They rent gear and wont rip you off unlike some on the island.
bonus is they are smack bam in the middle of the beach.
take your kites and harness. rent a board.. easy as. 8m and 10m is a good option.
dec to feb best months... SB comes in at 10am. pumps all day. Obviously there will be days off with no wind.. Be warned. 100+ on a 700 mtr beach is not unusual. Just head out the back past the reef.
The lazy dog is where you need to be....

guys
ive been dealing with glen from ocean repulic for years , he's one of the first shops and most visited . im going there again (5 th time) for xmas, its a few years since we were last there, i was into flat water then but now only waves, can anyone help me on the best place for waves there , i know there is some slop on the reef but is there really waves on other parts on the island , if so where how big.
cheers, by the way last time i went i got 30+ for 12 out of 14 days and its a clean wind not crap like most of the spanish / euro winds. but rpm is right, launch and vanish, far too many kiters in one spot but luckly they are mostly learning/ younger kiters wanting to impress near the beach.

oh and pay the money and do a 2 day trip to 'seco island'
sleep under your kite in paradise!
kite flatwater all to yourselves.. Then have fresh caught spanish mackeral on the BBQ at night around a fire.....magic!

do you know the boracay about i have been 4 years ago also my many frends goýng there every year dont go there man if you want to riding with ****t you can go realy realy dangeurs wather they are pushing all island **** pushing kitebeach if you are stýll go to boracay you have to get to many antibiotic and cream and long wetsuit because many poison thýngs in the sea for me boracay just party island just
i get some new news frestyle academy openýng new spot close the boracay ken nackor openýng kýte school if you want to kite you h have to go every day other island and come back with boat if you need help i have many frends in boracay
