Apparently there was a car broken in to at Pengos car park yesterday. A couple of travelling kiters from Ireland were the victims. Today a friend said he saw a "suspect" character wandering the same carpark with a screwdriver which he was quick to conceal when spotted. My friend was in no doubt as to his ethnicity but I will leave it to the reader's imagination. Anyway the car to look out for is a white commadore 1BUZ-005. If that rings any bells with anyone or if the car is spotted elsewhere a call to the cops may be in order.

Thanks for the info! We were the unlucky victims. They bust the lock (with a screwdriver) & nicked a couple of bags with valuables in that were behind the seat. Ended up being an expensive day out. Thanks for your help. May spend the no-wind days in Pengos car park looking for a Commodore! Cheers.

Did you report the break in to the police? What was their response? Did they take prints off the car?

I hope the rego leads you back to your stuff.

Went to Rockingham Police station after the theft.

When I got your info about the car reg last night, we went to the police station but it was closed, so I'm calling them this morning.

Thanks again, I'll let you know if it leads to anything.

Drew

Just rang the police station with the info & car reg & they've told me there's nothing they can do. They can only take action if we witnessed the person break into our car then drive off in the Commodore!

It's a pity, I would've thought the least they could do would be to give the reg no. to the patrol cars then if they see it, perhaps pull it over, or even just run a check on the reg to see what it comes up with. And they wonder why people become vigilantes!

you are going about it the wrong way, you gotta say:

"officer there's a white commodore thats been driving past the beach carpark alot, and he looks awful suspicious, i think he's a drug dealer.......he had a gun! i am worried for my grandchildren"

u should get a response from them when u say that. my cousin is a coppa, and she said that if you want them to react fast, mention guns, drug deals or children might be tagets, and they will be there asap!

DISCLAIMER: i am not responsible for your actions, take this info as you wish and i recomend an annonyms phone call.....from a pay phone....so u cant be caught wasiting police rescources.

catch yas..

I agree with Sheppo but i would suggest the TRG .Years ago there was a breakin /kidnapping down the road from where my folks live and they rocked up with full body armer and semi automatics .there the $hit.
on a happier note one of my mate got broken into and they stole aboat $30,000 worth of goods which he was insured for .One month later the cops pull this car over and find his suitcase in the back of the car .So know this guy is going to jail and he has to pay the insurance company the $30,000 they had to pay out .
so you may get your stuff back in time .
Also have a look at cashies another mate found his stolen dive gear there and the guy that sold it to cashies used his real name and address .
hope you get it back
