There's been a couple of break-ins at Nobby's this afternoon - by the same guy. He got chased by one kitesurfer who came back to the carpark after talking to another guy who had had his stuff ripped off on the beach, and he caught the guy pulling stuff out of the glove box of his car. He chased him and got some stuff back, but the guy got away.

Here's the really creepy part...the guy being chased ran up to a car that was going really slowly (as you do at Nobby's) and tried to jump in the back door of the car. the driver sped up and the guy hit the back of the car and ran away, but the scary thing is...imagine if you have your kids in the back and some amped up junkie with his arm all cut up and bleeding from breaking a car window jumps in next to them. Scary ****. Something to think about..

Anyway, there were heaps of witnesses who sat by and happily watched this guy break into a couple of cars, and then threaten to kill the guy who chased him, and the guy had some pretty distinctive tattoos apparently, so they might get him. But this is clearly another reminder not to leave anything valuable in your car at the Nobby's carpark. Pretty sad really.

By the way...the wind at nobby's was the gusty-est I have ever ridden in today! I was happy just to to jibe without getting nailed! Nice and strong, but GUSTY! It was quite fun just to try things out and see what you can get away with. (In my case it was not much, but I was pretty overpowered)

this is a bad thing for kiters wanting to visit our sweet beaches & is not a common thing in newcastle.....we all know each other up here & will be looking for this cretton for a payback.....

The description sounds like the same low life I chased off last year who was hanging around cars looking in windows last year.i had my car ripped off the previous week.
this is the second incident this summer after Frank had his kite pinched off the beach by the 7 yo spawn of the druggies who live at Lego land.(they were caught and known by the cops who essentially can do nothing)
i for one am sick and tired of the low lifes who hang around the city.I'm writing to the council and the cops now demanding an explaination of what they're going to do about the problem.i will post a copy of the letter .If you agree please add your name to the list

if/when you catch him maybe he/she will get the message if you tie him up in you oldest and cruddiest set of kite lines and then drag him to the police station behind you car. I wouldn't even bother taking him/her in to the station after that...
