Hi all, The Brighton Wave Comp is in the planning stage at the moment, my great comp organising mate Mike B is totally under the pump this year so can't help. But I reckon we can get him in the comp. I've busted my shoulder, but still keen to help organise, maybe we can have a GIMP category for myself ands others like me

Anyway, I'm sure the core crew at Brighton would be keen to smash a few lips at Brighton. WE all know Brighton surf is ****, but it sure is easy to organise, and we are all at Brighton when the wind blows anyway. I was thinking maybe just a day comp, same rules as Johhny Geyer had at Leighton in winter. ie. Break riders into 2 groups - 20 minute heats, top half go through until we get final 4 for final then a half hour final. If we have a junior, womens, old bastards divisions, low numbers, maybe we just run one 30minute heat/ final. Riders not in heat- judge.Thats my 10cents worth, stuff the wind if its over 15 knots to 30 its on. Ryland, Dale, Corey, Bevo, Gleno, Auzzie, Nyall, Andy, Johnny G etc etc are ya keen.

1 day one sounds good. leave it to last minute to make a call. wait for a decent swell forecast and call it. we could even travel somewhere if it is just for one day like the spot or secret harbour.

Many heads make great things happen. We only want people into this idea coming along for the ride. If you are not, you don't like the idea- hey just do your own thing, no worries man, no one is gona get on your back.

Lets have a bit of fun, sounds good, I'll grab the flags, you lads call the swell and day. When shall we call the comp window. Jan 1st to , doen't matter to me.
