Hey everyone, I'm off to Bali in a month (21 sept) and i would like to get hold of some old unwanted kites that I can give to the local Balinese boys. There are about half a dozen or more capable kiters there that just can't afford to buy the gear, A good wage is about $65aus a MONTH.. I gave them 2 kites and 1 bar in April and they get looked after like gold. They can fix just about anything so even ripped kites fit the bill, (I will be taking lots of tape for them)They are also pretty good with bladders and have a stock of old bladders that they cut and shut into new ones.. My plan is to leave the kites with Jankie and or Mario at the Blue Oasis beach club to act as the guardians of the kites on the understanding that they are for the locals to use... And not so sell.. You can give a man a fish and he will eat for a day but teach him how to fish....

So if you've got some stuff lying around that hasn't been used and is not really worth selling I'll pay the postage to my place and get them there.. Then when you go to Bali you can visit your old kites.. Gives a warm and fuzzy

They make thier own boards and prefer ours but it's probably too much for me to carry..

Paulio, I hear ya and felt the same for a while but it's not the little guys fault.

It's not often you get to do so little for so much thanks, All I'm chasing is the kites that have been collecting dust for the last 2 years and won't sell, 2002 models etc. What else are you going to do with? Keep them a another year two then chuck them in the bin.

Please support the Bali kite library for the locals!! They even fly foils!!

Hey, I have a couple of kites one of which has serious repairs but is still in tact (8.5 projected area wipika free air), the other has rips that may be able to be fixed (13 fuel). Both have their own bar and lines which are still fine (as such).
