I'm quite familiar with Broome but from pre-kiting days so can't really help. The forecast is for east to south-east which means Roebuck Bay side of Broome? Tide will be an issue with finding a clean spot to launch/land and the winds are strongest overnight so you might have to get up for the early... Let us know how you go, satisfy my curiosity

Anything eastly you have to kite at town beach or entrance point. If there is wind there should be some locals down at town beach to help you out. Not much room at high tide due to the caravan park and cafe right on the beach, also make sure you are keeping upwind before you go out past the mangroves because if you end up on the other side you need to go about 4 -5 hundred meters down to avoid the rocks and snags. In the past there has been some issues with council trying to ban it so just be very safe and keep away from any swimmers. Best time to kite is ussually mid morning with the wind dying around lunch time.

... I was there a couple of weeks ago for work and had to watch the guys having fun at town beach while I was on a boat getting smashed.

Kited there a few times a few years ago, town beach the only place really this time of year as the wind is off/crossoff shore around at cable beach, although I did give it a go for a laugh and had a bit of fun in small waves. Infact was heaps of fun, to kite a cross off wind with waves standing up for ages.

Another thing, watch out for low tide, lots of bitie rocks and coral type of stuff in the mud, I started one session at highish tide, came back when low and had to walk in over mud and loads of sharp stuff. I've got pretty tough feet but this stuff cut me. Anyway, take care!

cheers,

Robbie
