Hey this december ill be staying at burrum heads with a few mates, what is kiting like at this spot? Any spots close by?

YOU CAN KITE IN NE S SE UNBELEIVABLE SPOT AND AN HOUR UP THE ROAD IS ELLIOTT HEADS WHICH IS ALSO A GREAT SPOT

Best directions would be N to E. SE can be gusty there because it's coming over the land. Toogoom (just a couple of kms to the East) is also a great spot, but be prepared to walk a long way out at low tide, because it's very flat. When the tide goes out, it goes *out*. Directions there would be NW to E. Hervey Bay (further East) is doable on anything from NW to SE, depending on the spot you choose. As has already been mentioned, try Elliott Heads if you can. It's *the* spot to kite.....NE (on low tides) to SE (any tide).
