Going to Busselton for Xmas, where is the local crew usually going out? Closest reliable spots? Will be staying at Broadwater Beach Resort.

with busselton there are very few spots to kite on the seabreeze as it is a north facing coast and the seabreeze is blowing offshore, if you were to head east a bit there is apparently a place in wonnerup to go kiting but haven't been there, best bet is to head north or south a bit. north there is forrest beach, capel and bunbury. if the wind is a northerly or a strong easterly i reccomend dunsborough. hope this helps

What about Yallingup? Apparently the wind can be quite fickle over there?

i haven't kited there but apparently a few have. there is a helluva break out there and can be exceptionally shallow. i think the guys from margaret river have kited there so they would be your best bet on finding out how good it is
