Had a mishap yesterday at lancelin when the chickenloop snapped up the top near the safety on my Slingshot Turbo2. End result was two busted lines and the loop is knackered. I am looking for a replacement loop and lines and some advice on how easy they are to change? Cheers

Do yourself a favor and pick up a second hand slingshot bar.

Plenty out there.

I know this will be red thumbed but I could not resist answering
as this exact same thing happened to me a while back.
Most kite chicken loops are quite unique and are specifically
designed for the bar, especially their safety systems.
However they all employ the same characteristics such as having
a quick release to allow the loop to quickly slide out and the
ability to stay attached to the centre lines.
A good alternative should you not have the means to buy a whole
new bar and lines, and not knowing if the 2nd hand bar will work
with your kite is to get sham-shackle from your nearest marine
shop.
Iam referring to the ones that have the pull rod and spring that
allow the ring part of the shackle to open up, same as it would
with a normal chicken loop.
They work with any bar setup, are smaller in diameter, but
they are a great replacement when the entire chicken loop
has either been damaged or lost.
For the donkey dick, just get a section of rope about 3inches long
and slide in through a 3 or 5mm tube, tie one end into a small knot
and burn the end with a flame to seal the knot. On the other end, tie
it to your harness and again seal the knots with a flame. The donkey
dick will be permanently fixed to your harness.

I'm thinking of having a fixed loop and running a fifth and stopper ball for a wakestyle bar. Can't use the loop if it's out of reach anyway!

Thanks for the tips all. A turbo2 bar is a 2:1 setup so perhaps a little harder to find. Presently I cant find one hence the chickenloop replacement.

I used turbo's a few years back pulley bar
The old cab bars will work on the turbo
They were pully bars as we'll . I used a turbo 2
With a 2007 cab switch blade bar .

I've got a bar without one of the pulleys if you want it?
