Hi everyone

I am looking for some advice regarding replacing a lost board.
My old board "which is by now half way round Tassie somewhere " was a 144cm 07 Skywalker twin tip.
I weigh 60-65kg. Been kiting for around 12 months. At the bottom end of intermediate scale I suppose ( can stay upwind but not too much jumping action yet ).
Mainly kite in fairly choppy waters with minor wave action.
Have an 11m & 7m Slingshot T3 ( which I love to bitz ).

So......what I was hoping for was some info/help on choosing the right board for me ( Brand, size etc ). I am after another twin tip with decent foot bindings and a handle. Something well suited to the chop and intermediate jumping.
I really want a board that is going to be suitable for my current skill level and for any progression I may make in the next couple of years.

Any help would be wicked.

Cheers

Have a look at the Liquid Force boards, in particular the recoil/recoil comp.
They are awesome all round boards and are great in the chop.
I have a 133 09 recoil with the comp straps and its great. The comp straps are probably the best on the market.

you just got to put in the time and line up a bunch of boards to try. borrow mates boards and demo from the shops. you will soon get an idea of what feels best for you. test as many as possible on the same day or same conditions so its a fair test.

Having said all that. I just tested heaps and heaps and liked many but the Recoil Comp really stood out for me. I love it. Its so fast, it just skips across the water and is super soft on landings. Everyone is different though.

Thanks for the response guy's.

Living in Tassie really does limit the amount of boards that are available to demo.
Having said that, I did demo an 08 LF 136cm Recoil board the other day. It went like a rocket compared to my old Skywalker board. I was pretty impressed by it. I guess that something a little smaller may be better suited than the 136cm demo'd. (Only a lightwieght rider @ 65kg)
The only negative with the 09 Recoil in my opinion is.....they are basically white and would be hard to spot in the chop/surf

I am also considering a Carboard Custom job. It has been suggested that a 130cm Tempo might be my best bet. I have read some pretty positive stuff on these boards. The fact they are locally made, and another huge plus....I can choose a graphic that will be easy to spot in the water. "no more lost boards"
Not to mention....they are a wicked ride!!
Sadly I am not able to demo this board though. So I can only go off what I can find in the various forum's.

Luv to here your thought's
