I used to ski there heaps about 12 yrs ago as I only lived about 8 mins from it. Now I kite it got me into wake and i still would have been only 10 mins away. Speuwin.

If they do set up a new park (prob not likely as there is no cheap land west of the stump) I hope they follow the design used in the Qld one i went to. The Spearwood lakes were a four cornered rectangle (yes i know - all rectangles have 4 corners). The Qld lake had 5 corners instead of 4 which seemed to improve the counter balance situation. Much less cruising along then - WHAMMO!! - I think my arms just streched 20cm from someone pulling a move/jump elswhere on the cable. Much bigger lake too.

Reportedly, George is actively looking for a site now, however, given the current status of free land it might be out towards Pinjarra.

Its a shame its not easier to find a site closer to Woodman Point. Given the wake/kiting explosion over the past few years, the timing would have to be right.

and while your at it get someone to put one here in NZ as well. NZ has the grand total of ZERO cable parks in the whole freakin country!!

$50 bucks sounds pricey but i'd still pay that for a bit of cable action... cheaper than a boat... infact it's probably cheaper than petrol for a boat!!

How much would a cablepark cost to install? surely not a billion dollars... thats how much the reserve back governor over here spent to make petrol more expensive so his dumb **** exporters get ship all our fresh fruit etc overseas whilst we get the rejects.

Had an epic session yesterday at a new kitespot with an Aussie dude who'll be heading back to his homeland at the end of the year. wouldn't mind seeing a cablepark around these parts but thats never gonna happen... not round here. They'll destroy forests for flash housing but they won't stick in something that matters.. like a cablepark.

and yeah greenpat i've never met you before.. infact i don't think i know anyone on this forum, which is probably a good thing cos no-one will recognise me when i arrive in OZ.

anyway as for lowercase blownaway, it is a bit confusing at times especially as i use BLOWNAWAY on all the international forums i'm on (i got banned as BLOWNAWAY from the NZ one hahahaha) which are the ones he's on too (including the BEST forum).

maybe i should stop posting on forums and stop using BEST gear... that should clear it up
