I lived in Darwin for about 6 years and you can expect your car to be broken into about once a year on average....I learnt very quickly not to leave anything of value in your car in sight of the potential crims. One time they tried to even set fire to it outside my unit.

And never leave your car parked in a isolated area.

try the salvos in the morning they will use the thongs to get into a pub and the bag will hold alot of free hand out food. lived in the top end for four years and never had a problem .also had a bloody good dog in the car ,they are scared ****less of dogs (pigging dog)

Now baggsy, that is the best burgler alarm I've read about on this forum.

Thieves everywhere in Kanga land....if it ain't tied down its percieved as communal property by many.

Sorry to hear that Michael, has not happened to me yet touch wood while kiting, but my car was broken into at east point reserve while fishing.

I think with all the "surf" that has been happenning lately it must have attracted some scumbags.

thanks for the warning, though, I will make sure I clear out or my gear when I eventually go.

That is a good one baggsy.

That really blows mate, I agree it was probably due to the increase of people around doing the surfing thing with the waves and opportunistic thieves.

Oh may be worth calling round the Cash Converters, there is only 3 of them, one Star Loans and cash advantage in Nightcliff. May get something out of it. Also worth looking along the path to the hospital behind the club. See if it was dumped.
