Looks like my only chance for a ride is a chicken loop tied to the bar of the 2m trainer

boys, just tie a box jellyfish onto your kite bar. you'll appreciate it in 120kph winds! kite companies dont make em that small. nature does.

Nah, 14m is for wimps, the cyclones upgraded so iv bought a 20m for the occasion.

if you look T bom . gov it looks like the winds only gonna get to 30 kts?? and doesn't mention anything about how strong it will get if your in the cyclones path?

Innisfail got badly damaged from Severe Tropical Cyclone Terry, it was upgraded to a category 5 as it closed into the coast. Here in Townsville we only got fairly light rain and winds up to 40 knots. Looks like theres another cyclone formed behind this one too. Lets all hope there were no deaths in the 300km/h winds.

well im off to go kiting... only 22knots gustin 35 can be handled on the good ol 8m... bit of decent waves for once tho
