Good on u te89... If you can get around at the cable park - just keep on practicing there, and you will be able to grasp how to balance and edge, and it will help you a lot with kiting (as it did with me). Don't worry about your family being there and not knowing anyone... I don't know anyone there and my Mum stays there when I go! At the Carbrook on I just asked them to slow it down for you around some of the corners, and they did until I could handle it

... I just talk to the guys and ask them tips on things and they all help me, which is great

they’re all so helpful...
I thought u just lived near wello, so just ask to have the lesson there... tell them it's the only place you can have a lesson because of transport, and they will be fine about it. It's about $150 for a 2-hour lesson... but its worth it trust me!

Just make sure before you head out, look at the winds! Then you won't waste your time going down there ...
www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/qld.asp Look at the Banana Bank and Inner Beacon graphs for Wello and it will give you a fairly accurate account of the winds there- don't just go by the BOM's prediction...
No way, the guys at wello are so nice and helpful - well that's what I found... It's a lot better safety wise, and so you can handle it yourself to have at least 2 lessons before you head out, and never go out alone, because this time of year, the gusts can be a shocker... Just ask the locals if it would be okay to kite on that day, and if they see you in trouble or anything just give you a hand. It's
vital that you know your kite and its safety system, otherwise, do not go out until you do...
lol... I hope your dogs aren’t the ones who have attacked and chased some of the wello kiters - maybe that’s y, or just that the dog might tangle their lines...
Have a good one when you get out, and I might see you out there sometime...
