Yep ... I've flown both the 9mtr and 12mtr in Boracay early Jan ...
They (Cabrinha) are calling it a "High Depower" kite ... improved strength ... it's supposed to be designed to cop a bashing ... has a different trailing edge to the classic Bows, so they don't have to call it a Bow and thus do not have to pay for the Bow patent and thus it will be cheaper than both the X-Bow and Switchblades ...
Also, has the ability to be able for 2:1 or 1:1 pulley system...
I loved the 9 ... it was about 30~35kts and really does depower well ... then again my mate rode it and prefers his 8 Switchblade ... everyone is different I guess...

I think I saw one of these on the weekend. It looked like a generic cab bow from afar but I didn't really look that closely. I'm sure there are some worthwhile differences. The yellow really makes it stand out.

Saw one of these Yesterday at Brighton-le-sands. I was very impressed.
Winds were light (about 15kts and inconsistent) - not enough to get me going on my Waroo 11m but then again i'm pretty crap - and the only two people out were a 14m which I think may have been a Rebel or Cabrinha somethingorother, and this Omega HD 12m.
Sure the guy riding was pretty good (and it picked up for a bit when he was out- after I decided to pack it in, doh) but it was still amazing to see how much he extracted from it.
I spoke with him afterwards and he said that he'd also had it going in high 20's and it wasnt even completely de-powered.
He had been teaching a friend who incidentally couldnt get up in the light winds and had been bashing it in the water. It seemed a remarkably well behaved kite throughout the abuse.
I thought the Waroo was the perfect newbie kite, but the Omega would be worth a test-ride for anyone looking to buy a first kite.
