I had one like it and the metal was actually beginning to break on the bar due to a bad weld -- I wonder if that's what's happening to yours?

I took it back to KitePower and Steve sorted it out straight away, no questions asked.

BTW, do you realise that you have to click the black clip over the bar? You have to push it quite hard to get it to seat properly but once it's in place it's hard to imagine that it could pop off.

no issues with mine either, seems like you're using it incorrectly or it's a warranty job.

i retightened my pad-screws once after first few uses but they're still tight now after eight months' use.

must say there's a surprising amount of rust around the welds though. cheap nasty stainless. i can't see any cracking at this stage but will keep an eye on it.

I've not used it very much as yet and so far the bar seems fine (except for a little bit of rust forming).

I realise the black clip goes right around the bar and it is quite a tight fit but it does still pop off, and quite a lot as well. A lot of the time that I stack it and get back up it has un-clipped and I have to push it back on.

I'm suprised that it sounds like it's only happened to me, I just assumed it was a design fault and others would have the same thing.

I've clipped it all in position out of the water and given it a good yanking around and can't get it to pop off. Maybe I just stack it too hard and need to practice more.

I suppose it might just be that mine isn't quite as tight as it should be.

I did buy it from kitepower but unfortunately I am currently in Cyprus and will be here until early November so I can't just take it back for them to look at and fix or replace.

I suppose I should have tested it a few times before I left the country...

i bought a cabrinha deluxe seat harness last year.it lasted about three month all the stitching tore apart.the spreader bar would twist around because there are no solid buckles to connect to the spreader bar.so i changed the spreader bar and buckles to a dakine to fix that.took the harness back got a new one. it did the same all the stitching tore open.fixed the problem. i bought a dakine harness.solid as.

Maybe instead of trying to squeeze into a 10 you should have gone the 14 instead
