The smart loop is probably a good idea. However, I've got an 07 12m Cult and I've left it stock standard regards trim - true it's hard to reach the handles (I've got arms like a gorilla so can just get to them

). The only way I can stall this kite is to fly it in next to no wind. If the wind is a steady 10 knots (ie not enuf to get up and going), the kite flies happily all day. You need to keep working the kite however. If it is stalling from 12 oclock, I would suspect that perhaps the wind is too light, the kite is sheeted out too far, or the kite is stationary. Keep one hand on the bar while you position the board, and work the kite from 11 to 1 oclock till you're ready to drop it into the power zone. Sheeting out too much will cause the kite to come forward in the window and possibly stall, whilst oversheeting can backwind the kite, and also stall it. Provided there is enuf wind, this kite always leaves me with a smile on my face.
