Hi,
am booking a tentsite at the 'Tween Waters Tourist Park - they charge for a minimum of 2 adults. Kiting buddy who was coming has had to pull out (he's just bought a house & is now a trifle cash-strapped).

If anyone wants to share the other half of the site & split the bill for the days you're there, leave a post below.

Location sounds pretty good - on one side of the park is the beach that Mambo is being held at. On the other side of the park is the pub; no Designated Drivers required for the after-kiting parties!

Cheers.

How much is it per night?
powered or non-powered?

You mean you can just walk to the beach?

Called the Mambo organiser a few weeks ago to find out about the local accomodation - this place was what he recommended.

Apparently you:
1. Rub sleep out of eyes at sparrow's fart and stumble blearily down to the beach, gear in hand, to grab some bacon & eggs off the barbie that the organisers will have set up on the beach and kick back for a leisurely breakfast.
2. Lay out/set up your kiting gear while your brekky settles, then head out to kite.
3. Come back in to the beach & grab a snag/veggie shish-kebab off the barbie for lunch.
4. Kite some more (assuming your quads haven't completely locked up).
5. Come in, pack up, grab some dinner off the barbie, then stroll in from the beach to your tent. Grab a shower & get cleaned up, then stroll out the other side of the park & into the pub.
6. Crawl from pub to tent.
7. Repeat.

When I checked the 'Tween Water's website, their location map verified what the organiser was saying. Can't confirm about the pub's location - but that's only because I haven't looked for it.

$32 per night for the tentsite; $16 each for the nights you're there.

Oh, and Monkey - I believe the one I've booked is non-powered (although there's powered ones available too).

If anyone's interested, let me know pronto as I'm planning to depart for Merimbula on Monday morning.

'Later!
