Was flying the kite on the beach today in the southerly and tried a couple of small jumps, when I landed back on the sand I received an electric shock through my toes that was heard by a bystander from 15 metres away. Thinking that it was not a great idea to have the kite in the sky at that point in time, I decided to land it, but just before that with the kite sitting at 12 o'clock there was a large pop and the kite fell out of the sky! Has anyone experienced a bladder blowout whilst kiting in a storm due to electrical static???

I nearly had a bladder blowout on new years eve, may have been the 26 bottles of beer rather than the static though

Have been thinking it through and maybe the static causing the electrical shocks was caused by a twisted bladder trying to untwist?
