Can you elaborate on that a bit more? Did the cyclone break the wind meter? What are the real wind speeds you've been enjoying there since then?

Do you have any pics to show off?

Hi Pinky. Yea I SMS Ant that question the other day. Good to get his reply straight away. I was thinking there must be something wrong with the wind meter. cheers Billy.

No pics as I'm crap at such things but the wind cranks.
I was there about a month ago and the wind was generally 5 or more knots over the Cape Flattery readings.
My 8 days was 3 days on a 6m, 2 on an 8 then 3 days on an 11, consistent, reliable and warm wind day and night.
In the eight days I remember about 3 hours one morning that were not kitable on the 11m, all other times were good to go.
The lagoon a few hundred meters downwind of camp is A Grade flat water with no crowds
Kiting aside the camp is awesome (as long as your not too much of a princess) and for me the hot water shower ON the beach couldn't be outdone by the flashiest of hotel.
