Cardboards folded two years ago. Sold up all their stock and machinery to a bloke in Dubai. There is no more Cardboards. This is a great pity because Dan is a good bloke and he made sick boards. He was the last truly Australian made board manufacturer. Little Aussie businesses just can't fight the big guys.

Dan gave up reluctantly but went and got a "real" job and is earning more money, working less hours. We still have a 128 FR for sale if you're a little bloke.

I love my Cardboard 136. The foot pads are the best I've tried and very comfy and secure. Shame the business folded.

and sugarskull has officially killed the cardboards range . Sugar Skull is pissing off alot of people overseas.

I broke my '06 138 X 42 Freeride in January. One of the saddest days of my life!!

A mate has loaned me his spare 136 and I can't bring myself to buy a new board cos I'll have to give the Cardboard back

The best twinny ever put out, was the Airush Hammer (why they stopped making them ?, I'll never know). The 138 is the most
versatile, allround stick you could ever have.

Totally awesome in waves, but yet small and twitchy enough for all your freestyle boogieing ( unless of course your into the smack/bang wake styling stuff ), and it's just a pleasure to ride.

It goes where I go, and generally I just hire kites when I'm OS. Those that have ridden my board ( and there have been many ) have all come back in with the same response (Wow, nice board dude )

But if I just wanna go, smack/bang, boost and hard landings I'll use me 129, 09 Protoy, rock solid, you wouldn't believe the **** that things been thru ( including a lady friend who reversed her car over it ).

But if you wish to drop a freeride at my doorstep ( you'll get it back a week later ) I'll give you an honest opinion.

It's a real shame to see Card boards finish up.
The boards shapes and construction were well thought out and excelled in their applications.
Card boards was no bullsh1t 100% Australian made and engineered operation, which is something almost no business can boast.

I have ridden an airthrush hammer and I own a 144 cb freeride.

Hammer is too flat, lacks sensible flex, hard on the knees and is fragile.
It's fast! but slows up and trips and face plants easily. Hammer also lacks pop compared to cb freeride. No need to lend me a hammer for a week, I have worked it out.

Cb freeride, owned the same one for 5 years (maybe more) I paid full price for it.
My issue is I sometime slide over shallow lime stone reef on low tides. The construction of the cb freeride still seems to work well.
The board has flex and sharp rails for decent weekend warrior pop. It's also wide enough for early planning.

If anyone has a CB Wave they aren't using, I'll buy. (Need a spare deck for gnaraloo)

Cardboard FX was my first board, still going strong (with replacement pad/straps).
