Hi guys...

I'm not actually a kiter - but I just thought I'd pass this info along. I'm in an internet cafe in Mui Ne, Vietnam, windsurf/kitesurf hotspot extraordinaire. There's a heap of FOR SALE notices stuck on the wall here, and undoubtedly at other places along the beach, with people practically giving their kiting stuff away. I guess they don't want to carry it around with them on their travels. People are selling kites, boards, full packages including boardbags for well under a grand, and I'm sure they can be bargained down even more. So if you are planning a trip up here, you could do well to just bring some cash and score some super cheap gear off a desperate backpacker...

Why am I telling you this? I'm such a nice guy, that's why. Us windsurfers are like that.
