I doubt many people look at this section until you know you’ve actually lost something.

Point being I have a bar and lines in my possession that a mate found last weekend (post has been on SB for a week under another user name). My guess is the owner doesn’t know he has left them at the beach yet and will find out this coming Thursday/Friday when he’s down at Sorrento Beach (WA) and has just finished pumping up his kite. There will be tears.

I suggest people check out the Lost & Found say once a week and you may help out a fellow kiter get reunited with their lost bit of gear.

No, another kiter that uses SB but has gone away.

Look in your kite bag for a stick about 45cm with some strings hanging off it. If you don't find one then maybe you have lost your bar and lines.

Poor Rellie & I are looking at starting a Lost & Found service for kiters eveywhere.
Plan is that; after 21 days; any unclaimed kite gear you advertise on the "Found Forum" will be able to be forwarded to us for safe keeping at the one convenient central location.
This service will be entirely free to finders of equipment to post stuff into & there will be just one small fee (to cover postage & handling & ins) for those who come along to put in late claims.
All out of the goodness of our hearts, of course, but generous rewards will always be appreciated.

NB: This plan, & other similar services, are covered in section 3 of Poor Rellies Perth 'Value-for-Money' Clinics.
Alternatively: the theory is extensively covered in the 3rd sentence of my review.
