In keeping with the Christmas theme, Nobbys beach delivered wind today in a series of variously sized packages, some neatly wrapped for easy consumption, others tied up with that special orange tape – you know, the stuff the police use to rope off the wetter parts of a crime scene. Every kite looked like it was having a succession of heart attacks, which matched the riders nicely.

Tricks executed in 2 hour session:

-Staying on board

-Keeping both knees

-More butt dragging than a horde of wormy dogs

-Challenging the world record for most number of swear words uttered in 3 seconds (record held by Richard Nixon)

-Challenging the world record for most number of swear words uttered underwater (record currently held by Harold Holt –that’s according to the Chinese records anyway)

-Managing to be totally underpowered and totally overpowered all in the same split second.

The meter says it was 22 gusting 28, but it seemed meaner…..

yeah yesterday was pretty good, today was another story..

Stnkygoat we had beers the other night at the surf club there , i didnt know you ride that area often , have to buy you a beer next time ur there.

Ha! I was in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago and kiting way way down in what felt like the antarctic (it got dark at 11pm), and I saw a 2meter white pointer swim right in front of me, and thought to myself: that's tiny compared to the Stockton locals! There were three of us out there, and one guy had a board leash..and so naturally he got pung and split his head open and then had to drag about in the sea for a bit sorting himself out. Trawling around in the water, bleeding, with the seals and penguins. No thanks.
