Clean up Australia day is this Sunday.
http://www.cleanup.com.au/au/GetInvolved/clean-up-australia-day.html

As kiters we regularly use the beach and surrounding facilities so why not help out with keeping it clean.

Even if you don't register, just take along an old shopping bag or 2 and fill em up.

Top effort posting this Mal.

I haven't been involved for a few years but it is a great day for all who participate.

In case anyone is wondering it is not like a born again Chrisso picnic - just people who give a s**t trying to make a small but significant differance and it is actually a bit of fun in the end.

Yep, onya Mal.
Everyday is clean up Australia day, but on Sunday I'm going down to a few spots in the dunes that are absolute rubbish tips to do something about em.
There are some messy farkwits around eh?
Most of the time I pick up plastic on the beach, but there's also a lot I walk past, thinking "filthy bastards", so Sundays a good excuse to pick the rest of it up.
Around here the official "Clean Up" only covers a few sites, so I reckon if you know somewhere full of kn beer bottles, baitbags, empty packs of winnie blue, nappies, mcdonalds packets or other calling cards of low life scum, better go and pick it up, or there'll be twice as much next year.

On the other hand, I think there's something honest about litter, I mean, we all consume all this plastic and non bio degradable stuff, and if you "do the right thing" a truck compresses it and dumps it in a bloody big hole somewhere. Kind of denial isn't it?

While I'm on a rant, what is it with fishermen? Not all of em, sure, more the type that buy their gang hooks already made up in a little packet, then they throw away the packet, and the bait bag, still with some festering pilchards in it, get snagged, leave line all over the place, smash their stubbies on the rocks and clean the fish in a pool that doesn't get flushed by the sea so it stinks for months. If this is you, you suck.

Phew, that feels better, have a good weekend kiter dudes.

Yea, every day can be a clean up day.

How hard is it to every once in a while, take a little bag to your spot and fill it with junk, which you then unload in your dumpster at home...........gives good sessions too
