Good name. Shame about the designs.

The have the chance to do something really original, but they've done a nasty lookin combo between 80's skater punk and American sports wear.

Push your designs a lot harder lads, can't see anyone over 14 being turned on by them.

i thought the gear was pretty cool, its not something id wear to church or my Nans funeral.
But i find that because i have a social life, wearing cool and designer clothing has its place.
There are people out there that prob would not suit this style eg: 70yr men with bladder probs
pre-school children
Charles Manson and friends
anyone from England

Which are you???

I imagine the kiter gangster rap market is pretty dam limited from the comments above....but do like that "pull the trigger" one.

Given that there are maybe 100K kiters world wide, in numbers, how many people are you going to sell to?

quote from fifty foot website
"IT’S SIMPLE! We are about kiteboarding and kiteboarders. We support kiteboarding and kiteboarders. We want you guys to have a sick shirt to wear after a sick days kiting to celebrate our sport, our lifestyle, our passion and our stoke on kiting, and we’d like to go on making cool kiting clothes and hopefully lots of other cool stuff so you guys, the riders, have something that represents your passion for the sport.
So that’s us! That’s what we’re about."

WOW! I'm Impressed with the use of black thru the range! Launching a range for Kiteboarders. In Summer no doubt? Celebrating passion with BLACK???

Black is not really a great colour for summer neither is grey or whatever that swampy colour is. White the only success! aargh its got black in it or silver and a splash of red...hardcore!

"PULL THE F**** TRIGGER" gimme a break! Thats all we need more hostility. What does it actually mean? I am hard as mutherFn Rock so shoot me I can take it?[}:)]

Chicks tees! interesting once again in BLACK! Hoodies in guess what colours...oops colour...BLACK! Singlets...well lets say South Central LA wanna be gangstastyle BIAAAAAATCH!

Deeply confused and extremely amatuerish attempt at "DESIGNER CLOTHING" you guys are kidding wheres the design?

No thought to colours at all. Tees or print. No Direction. NO Style. NO Innovation Just a vomitous attempt at being HARDCORE.

Take a step back and look at the range? Wannabetuff guys go buy it. cheapest "Designers Tees" I've seen! Hot tip:GET SOME HELP or PACK UP SHOP!

Dark, Boring and Sad is my view of the clothes....what do I know? I am just an average consumer. Wouldnt even use the clothes as car rags! WHAT A JOKE

er, dude. when was the last time u looked at fashion in the UK or london for that matter. if u think people in perth 'know' how to dress then u need to see more of the world.

i thought the designs were a little dated. but they are primarily for the US market, and they like their main dish of cheese with a side order of cheese. nuff said.

I'll prob get slated here but i do find that fashion in WA follows the US template albeit with a slight aussie slant.

2 cents. or should that be 'fidy cents ?

Fashion is a personal taste thing.
However, ShakesSpear has got a valid point.
Dark colour T-shirts in summer only means stinking, sweaty armpits.

Style looks more street than beach.
Do bogans know kitesurfing even exists?

Nice first post shakespear00, IS YOU HIGH?......

You say "Launching a range in summer" err no dude... They've been here on the coast since 2003.

"We wanted a kiting shirt to wear and nobody made them, so we made some. Kiters started saying where’d ya get your shirts?
and FiftyFoot was born on the Gold Coast in April 2003."

But you must of missed that on the website.

I suppose i must be colour blind too cuz this 'pull the trigger' shirt i got 8 months ago that im wearing seems to be BRIGHT ORANGE. Must of faded in the shop Or maybe im lucky enough to have the only one thats in colour.

Anyway chill out dude you dont have to buy them,
and the website is still under construction BTW

isnt it funny how much kiters complain....if u dont like black dont buy black...why everyone here baggs anyone who gets off there bums and off the internet and does something is amazing.theres no accounting for taste and u might not like the designs so far but in this chickens book anyone who has a go is well ahead those who just wait for someone to stick there neck out so they can chop it off. get a life or sell ur kites and join a knitting group if all u gonna do is be so damn negative.

just thinking along...

what kind of clothing would actually benefit kiters ? i'm not on about graphics which should obviously be the dogs dangley's but more the cut and design of the garment or the material used.

is the only thing that makes kitesurfing clothes specific to kiting the graphics? something to hold ur line knife maybe, or seeing as how u cant use pockets in the normal place wat about havin them higher up, cant imagine what ud carry though ?

coloured altitude sensitive clothing. the higher u boost the greener u go. hehe.

Well, with regards to kite specific clothing designs.....

How about a kite shirt with a designer slot in the front at harness hook height?
Then the kite-punks can wear the kite shirt to hide the harness and pretend they're wakeboarders.

freeflyfreak please give us all a guidence as to what the USA template is , you seem to know heaps about everthing! going on your vast experience of kiteboarding(yes i did look in your previous posts
)you seem to be a bit confused about the 'bar ends' but i hope you got that sorted. The clothes arn't made just for the water, its something you can wear out with your mates and girlyfriend (this shall happen to you one day)

ShakesSpear00 i bet all you clotes in summer consist of white Target $4.99 T's, you really ort to get out more and try and make some friends.Maybe your just a sad an confused beginner, keep flying ur 6mt on the beach itl come to you
come out, come out, whoever you are.

I cant wait to get to Mambo and meet you guys in person,i wont be shy.
That is if you can all afford the plane fare.....

Did anyone see that pro tennis player in the US Open that competed against Leighton?
Can't remember his name but I fucn remember his tennis shirt!
A fashion trainwreck.

Picture this:
Designer cut-outs (fancy holes) in the back of the tennis shirt to expose his man-backboobs.
Yikes.

Putting the word "kite" on cloths may work...good conversation piece, even if you only play Kite Flight.

Amazing how quickly things go viscious these days..........just don't pull the trigger.

greetings paulio.
now my initial feeling is to come straight back at you with sarcasm and a vicious dealing of correct grammer, but being that I dont think you would grasp the full monty and Im not that kind of person, I wont.
you may have noticed I was more concerned with kite 'specific', that's SPECIFIC clothing. not fashion. anyone can put a graphic on clothing thats already been made. I was just trying to turn the thread back to kiting rather than er attracting women??!

I dont have the time or inclination to tell u exactly why i know about the fashion, graphic and marketing business. and anyway, why so defensive? are u plugging a mates business by chance ?

Got some mates who wear the basketball singlets out on the water and off the water but they must be younger than the old farts having a whinge.
The clothing has got good potential and kiters should get behind the industrie instead of backstabing anyone trying to have a go.

Please take no offence greenleader and paulio about the old thing!!!

The small mindedness of some people is amazing. I think you need to take a good look at yourself “Shake Spear” very interesting how this is your first post!

Anyone out there willing to put there time into this sport, be it clothing, accessories or whatever needs to be praised, not abused by idiots like you.

I think the boys have done a great job, O.K. the web site isn’t as good as some of the kiddy porn sites you probably troll all day, but considering it’s been up for what 1 week I think it’s pretty good, easy to navigate and it doesn’t take ages to load, that’s got my vote.

Yes the designs may not be to everybody’s taste, but when was the last time you walked into a surf shop and thought that everything on the rack was to your liking?

For the guys making the 50 foot stuff and you know who you are keep up the good work, for only your second year in business it’s looking great.

Paulio,

None of the above mate.
34y/o.
You strike me as the type of guy who goes for No Fear and Oakley t-shirts. Lots of black with fluro logos.

They'd call you a Chav in the UK. It's a good word. The aussie version is Bogun.

The 50 Foot graphics are ****e, cliched and Seppo, check the other posts, you're in the minority champ. Which means you're actually part of the great unwashed. Must be along way to the beach from those Eastern suburbs.

This is fun innit![}:)]
